About this piece

The delphinium is the traditional July birth flower, symbolizing positivity, openness, protection, and heartfelt connection. With its tall, graceful stems and layered blue petals, the delphinium has long been associated with honesty, clarity, and the courage to speak from the heart. It’s a flower that feels both delicate and strong - reaching upward, full of movement, full of light.

I painted this delphinium as part of my Birth Flower Art Print Collection, a year‑long botanical series celebrating the traditional flowers associated with each month. Each artwork is created in my signature Studio Reta style: soft color, clean composition, and a modern interpretation of classic botanical illustration. The delphinium brings height, elegance, and a sense of openness to the collection - a flower rich in symbolism and deeply tied to emotional expression.

This print is perfect for anyone born in July, for those who love meaningful botanical art, or for families building a birth‑month gallery wall. The delphinium adds clarity, sincerity, and gentle strength to any space.
